JAVA & JAZZ/TEA & TUNES

On March 11, 2018, about 100 members and friends attended Goshen Farm’s free annual “Thank you” event at the Cape Clubhouse. Java & Jazz was sponsored by several local businesses and The Jazz Perpetrators, a phenomenal band, who donated their services. They also provide the entertainment for our annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction coming up in August. Our sponsors were Cape Ace Hardware, Connect Electric, CNR/First Insurance, Delmarva Financial Services, Graul’s Market, Hague Quality Water (and now plumbing services), Re-Max Realty (Mona LaCovey), and Total View Home Inspections (Ken Etzler). More information on these sponsors and how to contact them is on the Goshen Farm website and Face Book page.

We particularly appreciate the Jazz Perpetrators playing for an extra hour. Band leader and saxophonist, Stuart Bailey, got caught up in the traffic delay caused by a fatal accident on Bush’s Frontage Road. For an hour, the band had to improvise (which is what jazz musicians do) while waiting for Stu to arrive. The band and vocalist Sterling Dorn did a great job holding down the fort. When five o’clock rolled around, the Perps just kept playing until six to everyone’s delight. Thank you all!
