2020 Spring Open House Information
If you haven’t had the chance, this is a great time to come tour Goshen Farm. On April 25th from 10 am to 4 pm, we have free admission and parking for our 2020 Spring Open House. Donations are gladly accepted. All proceeds benefit the preservation and restoration of historic Goshen Farm.
What is there to do?
For starters, you and your family can explore the 22 acres of open space, open meadows, and walking trails located in Cape St. Claire. We have an newly-installed Pollinator Garden and Monarch waystation. You can also learn about the importance of soil health. This informative discussion is lead by the currently retired Assistant State Soil Scientist.
There is also the ironstone quarry and take a tour of the 1983 Farm House. It is a great day to learn and appreciate local history.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, chips, cookies, and beverages will be available for purchase. Gather the family and drive to 1420 Cape St. Claire Road, Annapolis, Maryland. Learn more on our event page.
What to Expect
In previous years we have had nearly 300 visitors come to our open houses. Each open house has different learning events. Our members and volunteers are there to help with any questions you may have. If there is inclement weather, it will be canceled. However, we have braved slight rain in the past. To keep updated on the lastest, make sure to follow us on Facebook.
If you are able to make it great! If not, we do have a similar event every Fall. Our Fall Open house this year will be on September 12th. While you can tour the same areas, we have different learning events. Don’t miss out on our other annual events too! Hope to see you there.
