Rain Barrel Fundraiser
The Cape St. Claire Gardening Club is partnering with a family-owned business to sell sturdy and beautifully constructed Rain Barrels. These beauties are $95, priced significantly below retail, and all proceeds will benefit Goshen Farm Preservation Society, to help preserve our local treasure of open space behind the elementary school. Order online anytime, show up and pay on Saturday, June 16th, from 9-11am, and go home with a black or terra-cotta colored recycled food-grade plastic barrel.
Each has sturdy and handsome brass spigots, includes screens to keep bugs out, and is ready to use – simply cut your downspout to the right height and put the barrel underneath. If you have ever wanted rain barrels on the corners of your house, now’s the time! Save pH-neutral rainwater for your plants, lower your water use, reduce runoff to local waterways, give a recycled food-barrel a 2nd life outside the landfill, support the preservation of a historic home and open space in greater Annapolis, and buy from a family-owned company in the USA. It’s a win-win-win! You must pre-order your barrels.
