Goshen Farm Family Day
Held each year on the first Saturday in May, Broadneck High School (BHS) and GFPS hosts a Goshen Farm Family Day. It is a vibrant environmental festival designed for young learners and their families. This special event is organized by Broadneck High School’s (BHS) Environmental Literacy Signature Program, which supports the school’s ongoing efforts as a Maryland Green School (certified in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024) and a USDE Green Ribbon Honoree (2016).
While coordinated by the Signature Program, Goshen Farm Family Day is truly a whole-school collaboration, with students from many different clubs and organizations creating and running engaging, environmentally-themed activity stations throughout the Farm. Combined with live music and food options, there’s something for every member of the family to discover and enjoy.

This partnership between GFPS and BHS creates a wonderful opportunity for families to explore our historic property while learning about environmental stewardship and sustainability in a fun, hands-on way.
