Architectural Survey

The house is architecturally significant as a well-preserved example of a late-18th-century vernacular farmhouse that evolved over time, incorporating 19th and 20th-century additions, and thus making its configuration very unique. It is also significant in that the
main block of the house retains many of its original interior 18th-century features such as Federal period fireplaces and mantels as well as window and door moldings.

The architectural report is one of the driving forces for our efforts to restore Goshen Farm.
