Celebrate Maryland Day
Maryland Day commemorates the arrival of the first European settlers to Maryland on March 25, 1634, marking the founding of our state. Each year, historic sites and cultural organizations across Maryland celebrate this rich heritage by opening their doors to the community. As part of the Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area, the Broadneck Peninsula played a vital role in Maryland’s early colonial development and continues to preserve the stories of those who shaped our region. Through special tours, programs, and events, we honor this legacy and invite the community to experience our shared history.
